Congratulations to  YALI Alumni Chapter (YAC) Comoros on receiving more than $44,000 in U.S. government funding to support YALI alumni engagement in the Comoros.  Through this grant, YAC Comoros will strengthen the YALI Network, promote entrepreneurship among youth, and combat gender-based violence.

YAC Comoros includes alumni from YALI Mandela Washington Fellowship, YALI Regional Leadership Centers, and YALI Regional Leadership residential programs. YAC Comoros partners with local Comorian organizations, including Yes We Can, L ’art de la Plume, National Platform of Young Entrepreneurs, Banda-Bitsi, and the American Corner of Moroni, to organize workshops and community service events focused on entrepreneurship, elections, public health, gender issues, and the environment.

The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) is the U.S. government’s signature investment in the next generation of African leaders.
