COVID-19 Testing

  • Are PCR and/or antigen tests available for U.S. citizens in Comoros? Yes
  • If so, are test results reliably available within 72 hours? Yes
  • COVID-19 testing is available at the former office of the Anti-malaria Project. The cost is 30,000 Comorian Francs (approximately 72 USD)

  • Humanitarian exemptions to this order will be granted on an extremely limited basis and will only be considered when the country of departure lacks adequate COVID-19 testing capacity.

Quarantine Information:

  • Quarantine is required for those who do not arrive with a negative PCR test.  Other travelers are quarantined for 3-5 days at a designated hotel until the results of the PCR test come back negative.

  • Masks are required.

Fines for Non-Compliance:

  • Fines of 7500 Comorian Francs (approximately 18 USD) exist for not complying with mask requirements.
